Take the love of your life on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s Sweetheart Express. Couples will experience the ultimate sentimental affair at the Cotton Belt Depot in Grapevine, located at 705 S. Main St. The Sweetheart Express brunch and train excursion will run Sunday, Feb. 14.
The magic begins before the ride even starts, as strolling musicians perform for passengers on the platform. The Sweetheart Express includes refreshing mimosas, followed by an enjoyable champagne brunch and dancing at River Ranch in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. During the return trip from the Stockyards to Grapevine, passengers will receive sweet treats from Grapevine merchants to commemorate the occasion.
The Sweetheart Express departs the Cotton Belt Depot at 10:15 a.m. and returns at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $80 per person and must be purchased in advance at GVRR.com or by calling 817-410-3123.
Grapevine Vintage Railroad
Resumes Friday, February 19
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The railroad is serviced by two vintage locomotives which include “Puffy” the 1896 steam locomotive and oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South, and a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children, and $18 for seniors.

Each ticket includes three one-ounce tastes at each winery, a premium bottle of wine, a large wine glass and delectable food samplings. The wine trail includes visits to eight wineries in Grapevine and a map for a self-guided adventure through the enchanting and historical streets of Grapevine. Transportation is not available, so be sure to designate a driver. Enjoy good fun, great love and the finest wines!

Flashback to the 60s at the Beatlegras concert. Beatlegras is a nice fusion between acoustic blue grass music and popular Beatles’ songs.
The talented trio will take the stage and entertain with their distinctive and unique sound. It’s a nice combination that only Beatlegras can deliver. The band stays original to Beatles melodies – with an extraordinary musical variation.
The trio features Dave Walser on guitar and two of his longtime friends, upright bassist George Anderson and Milo Deering, playing everything from mandolin and fiddle to guitar and dobro. The group often opens shows with a medley of Hello Goodbye, Back in the USSR and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
